Anaesthesiology
Consulting an anaesthesiologist is necessary in the event of oncoming surgery or birth by caesarean.
During the consultancy the doctor obtains the necessary information from the patient in order to assess the most appropriate anaethesia and whether allergological tests for the same and X-Rays of the lungs and other tests should be performed.
Anaesthesia is applied in the surgery room, in some cases just in the ambulatory surgery as well as in the Cardiology during defibrillation of the patient.
There are three types of anaesthesia:
- general endotracheal anaesthesia
- total intravenouse anaesthesia
- loco-regional anaesthesia
In some cases a laryngeal anaesthesia mask is applied.
